Terms and Conditions for Curis Patient Account

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access and use of the Curis platform as a Patient. By using Curis, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Curis is owned and operated by Citrus Labs Limited, a company registered in Kenya.

1. Introduction

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Patient Account or using any service on Curis, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1.2 Purpose of Curis Services

Curis is a digital platform that connects patients with healthcare providers and gives access to appointment booking, health records, e-prescriptions, and payment services.

2. Definitions

  • "Curis": A health-tech platform provided by Citrus Labs Limited.
  • "Patient": Any individual using Curis to seek medical consultation or related services.
  • "Services": Health-related digital services provided via Curis.

Curis Platform Definition

The Curis platform encompasses the web application, mobile application, and related digital interfaces that provide healthcare services to patients.

User Roles (Patients)

Refers to registered users who access healthcare services through the Curis platform.

Service Terms Explained

Includes all digital health-related offerings, such as appointment booking, medical record access, and payment processing.

3. Account Terms

3.1 Registration

You must register with accurate personal details, including your full name, ID number, and valid mobile number.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login credentials.

3.3 Password Requirements

Your password must be strong and updated regularly. Sharing passwords is prohibited.

3.4 Two-Factor Authentication

We may require additional verification to secure your account.

4. Patient Services Terms

4.1 Scope of Services

Curis allows you to:

  • Book consultations with licensed doctors
  • Receive digital prescriptions
  • Access medical records
  • Make payments

4.2 Service Availability

Services are offered as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

4.3 Modifications

Citrus Labs may update or modify features at its discretion.

4.4 Maintenance

We reserve the right to conduct scheduled or emergency maintenance.

5. Billing & Payments

5.1 Payment Terms

You agree to pay all consultation and service fees as displayed at the time of booking.

5.2 M-Pesa Integration

All payments are processed securely via M-Pesa. Transaction fees may apply.

5.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are processed only in cases of failed service delivery or duplicate charges. Refund requests must be made within 7 days via support@curis.health.

6. Your Responsibilities

6.1 Provide Accurate Info

You must provide truthful and up-to-date medical and personal data.

6.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not misuse the platform, engage in fraudulent activity, or impersonate another user.

6.3 Compliance with Laws

You must comply with Kenyan laws, especially those relating to patient rights and data protection (Data Protection Act, 2019).

7. Limitations & Liabilities

7.1 Warranty Disclaimer

Curis is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee treatment outcomes.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

Citrus Labs shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or medical misdiagnosis by a healthcare provider.

7.3 Service Interruptions

We are not liable for downtime or temporary inaccessibility.

8. Account Termination

8.1 User Termination

You may close your account at any time by sending a written request.

8.2 Platform Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination, your data will be archived in compliance with Kenya's health data regulations.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the Laws of Kenya.

9.2 Arbitration

Any disputes shall be resolved via binding arbitration under the Kenyan Arbitration Act (Cap 49), conducted in Nairobi.

10. Changes to These Terms

10.1 Notice of Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. You will be notified via email or app notifications.

10.2 Continued Use

Your continued use of Curis after changes means you accept the new Terms.
